...Bookshop.org have announced their 2023 winners!!
I’m hugely grateful to have won the new Content Creator Award. My mission with The Kids Books Curator is to inspire, motivate and support children to develop a life long love of books. As a specialist Children’s bookseller myself, I’m delighted that book sales through my Bookshop.org UK affiliate store links and book lists champion UK independent bookshops, helping them to survive and thrive, as they are absolutely vital for local communities. 2023 has been an exciting year working with Bookshop.org UK, especially with the launch of the Children’s Book of the Month. I can’t wait to find out what’s in store for us working together in 2024!! Thank you Bookshop.org - I’m SO HAPPY - and thank you to my amazing online community for trusting in me!! 💛
About Bookshop.org
Bookshop.org is an online bookselling platform and affiliate network with a mission to financially support independent bookstores and literary culture.
Bookshop.org first launched in the USA in January 2020 and has already raised over $25m for independent bookshops in the States. Bookshop.org launched in the UK in November 2020, and currently has over 550 independent bookshops and over 11,000 affiliates using the platform. The UK site has generated £3m for independent bookshops since its launch, being named Retailer of the Year in the British Book Awards in 2022.
Independent bookshops receive 30 percent of the cover price from each sale they generate on the platform. Books are offered to consumers at a small discount, with free shipping on all orders over £25, and in stock books are delivered within 2-3 days.
Bookshop.org is a Certified B Corporation and has received the prestigious status as a B Corp Best for the World 2022.

About the Awards
The Indie Champions Awards were first launched in 2022 as a way of celebrating those who have taken concrete steps to financially support independent bookshops through Bookshop.org, alongside using the platform in innovative ways.
Spanning eleven categories, from podcasts to content creators, publishing professionals to children’s books, the Awards highlight winners’ year-long support for indie bookshops via Bookshop.org, including regular linking to indies through media partnerships; incorporating Bookshop.org into their digital campaigns; and helping Bookshop.org reach new audiences through the creation of book lists on its platform.
Winners of the Indie Champion Titles of the Year and Indie Champion List of the Year were decided based on sales generated for indie bookshops between January 1st — December 31st 2023.
